Scotland to choose road running team for Cardiff Half Marathon

Cardiff Half Marathon

Scotland will be back in international road racing action at the end of March.

We plan to send teams of men and women to Cardiff Half Marathon event in Wales on Sunday March 27.

It’s a new international road racing opportunity after obvious challenges in this area of ​​the sport during Covid-19 and a number of event cancellations.

Our Endurance Manager, Mark Nixonis now inviting expressions of interest from athletes ahead of a selection date in late February.

Here are some additional details. . .

*Team size: up to four men and four women

*Selection will be based on all known forms over 10k, half marathon and marathon distances during the period of March 1, 2021 to February 20, 2022 (more weight will be given to more recent performances)

*Times from the 2021 Antrim Coast Half Marathon will be taken into account, but allowances will be made for the course to be 54m short
