The good news is that the 40th anniversary races are not being canceled or moved to a virtual model despite an increase in COVID-19 cases, race director Shauna Versloot said in a Facebook post.

“We do our best to host an event in person,” said Versloot. “The fall sounds like our best bet.”

The races, which include a half-marathon and distances of five and 10 km, were scheduled for April 24.

Participants have an incredible event to look forward to and eight months to train for, Versloot said.

Registrations will open in March and a new date will be announced at that time, she said.

The races benefit the Thames Valley Children’s Center which supports children with disabilities, developmental delays, and communication and autism spectrum disorders.
