Explore the Stellenbosch region like never before

Visit Stellenbosch has launched Stellenbosch Wine Walks!

With an initiative to encourage locals (and visitors) to experience the richness of outdoor beauty – step by step
mention the food and wine appeal of Stellenbosch, the Stellenbosch wine walks are well worth a walk through the beauty, good food and wine.

These Saturday wine markets were born out of a need to directly support tourism
entrepreneurs, guides, tour operators and small businesses by offering this unique tourism
product, attractive to travelers who want to enjoy the great outdoors.

“By joining a Stellenbosch Wine Walk, you are directly contributing to the reconstruction of the
the tourist economy, instilling hope and offering opportunities for the benefit of our
communities, ”says Jeanneret Momberg, CEO of Visit Stellenbosch.

“Thanks to this walk, you will have supported a tourist guide: Ida’s Valley Community Trails, the
Banhoek Conservancy, Kylemore’s tannie roosterkoek, Ida’s tannie brownie
Valley, two wineries, a farm restaurant and a Pniël transport service, ”continues Momberg.

“We were incredibly encouraged by the comments received on the walks, with many
dates already sold out. Customers said they would never have known
the region this way and were blown away by the restorative and therapeutic appeal of
these walks in nature. A glass of wine has never tasted so good!

“Stellenbosch is incredibly special in that we have the most breathtaking natural landscapes and
go out to enjoy the great outdoors in a different way, by combining it with our
wonderful offer of food and wine is another way of presenting the many reasons for
visit Stellenbosch. Our small businesses and entrepreneurs are delighted to welcome
visitors – and watch them experience Stellenbosch from a whole new perspective. It is
one of the many ways that Visit Stellenbosch actively supports and promotes
Stellenbosch as an attractive and safe region to visit, while helping our
the local tourist economy is recovering.
