Ashlin Morris, daughter of Heather and Brian Morris, has been chosen as the December Scholar of the Month at East Liverpool High School. She ranks third in her class with a GPA of 3.957, taking Advanced Placement and Career and Technical courses. She is a two-year member of the Visual Design and Imaging Career Technology Program and will graduate with honors.
Ashlin has been a two-year member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. She won first place in the local SkillsUSA job interview contest and will enter the state contest. She was also a 2021 delegate to Buckeye Girls State.
Ashlin serves her school as secretary for the Class of 2022, having held that position for two years. She is also an active member of the Booster Club, serving as Vice President; SkillsUSA, as secretary; Outdoor Adventure Club, Student Advisory Council, French Club, Prom Committee and Student Leadership Club. Additionally, she is a trainee for the Communications Department at East Liverpool High School and was chosen as Winter Homecoming Court Attendant for 2020 and 2021 and Fall Homecoming Court Attendant for 2021.
Ashlin is a four-year letter winner on the varsity swim team, winning the Versatility Award in 2021; a two-year letter winner in varsity track and a one-year letter winner in cheerleading, winning the Potter Pride Award, and a one-year letter winner in varsity football and volleyball . She is also a member of the OVAC competition cheerleading squad and a regional qualifier for the 2021 Track season.
Ashlin is employed as a lifeguard at East Liverpool Country Club and serves her community as a 2021 Back to School Tour Guide, volunteer at Holy Trinity Parish and Grace City Church, volunteer at Beaver Creek State Park and Ceramic City Jazz and barbecue party.
Ashlin was accepted to West Virginia University with plans to major in forensic examination and minor in criminology in the fall.
